Stacie Kay Randall
Stacie is a naturally talented multi-media artist.
Since the early 2000's her art represents an illustrative whimsical style with a dash of enchantment sprinkled in. At seven years old she started taking professional art lessons in Yorktown Heights, New York. Stacie continued to study her passion in art while attending the State University of New York at Cortland.
In 1996, she received a B.A. in Art Studio with a concentration in Design. In 1997, Stacie moved to Milford Connecticut where she continued to perfect her drawing and painting skills, while working in fields as varied as visual merchandising and Ophthalmology.
From 2002 to 2003 she pursued her interest in illustration under the private instruction of longtime illustrator, cartoonist, and graphic designer, Bill Colrus. Bill was an instructor at the Paier College of Art in Hamden Connecticut for 33 years. During this time, Stacie discovered her illustrative style in drawing, and realized she was a closet illustrator!
Moving forward, with a special interest in history, Stacie having always felt like an old soul, has constantly been drawn to the Medieval and Victorian time periods. Also, her interests in human nature, animal behavior and their existence, add to the themes she would like to explore through her artwork. Stacie's curious nature of learning and needing to explore is a part of her daily life and creative pursuits.
Presently, Stacie lives in Windsor, Colorado, where she is developing her two unique styles of art; her fine detailed, tonal illustrations and her freestyle, lighter, colorful work. She intends to continue to exhibit in galleries and looks forward to working with various publications.
